Workplace Lift (Passenger, Goods) Certification

The responsible person shall ensure the submission of a Preventive Inspection Report for any passenger lift installed at a workplace once every six months; and the submission of a Thorough Examination Report for such passenger lifts once every sixth year of operation, following its initial date of service, as required by S.L. 427.63 - Inspection of Lifts Regulations. The owner, or occupier, of any workplace with a Goods’ Lift installed shall ensure the submission of an Examination Report compiled by a competent person (a warranted Mechanical or Electrical Engineer) once every six months, as required by S.L. 646.24 - Work Equipment (Minimum Safety and Health Requirements) Regulations. 

The above reports are to be sent to the OHSA within twenty-eight (28) days from the date of inspection/examination as noted in the respective Regulations.
